The company with nearly 150 years of tradition and experience, was founded in Damme in Lower Saxony. Since 2003, its well established product range includes the innovative self-propelled Sugar-Beet Harvester.
Grimmes development lead from an initial specialisation in equipment and machinery for harvesting potatoes to an internationally-known company holding a world market leading position for potato (sugar-beet) technology for field and storage. The Grimme group has established a network of qualified dealers and subsidiary companies in over 70 countries around the world.

The factory for agricultural machinery in Damme
The Grimme group has a workforce of approximately 1.100 employees. 850 employees are based at the agricultural machinery factory and the companys subsidiaries in Damme. The company has an apprenticeship programme for technical and commercial professions, which currently employs more than 60 young people. In close cooperation with universities and specifically universities of applied sciences, the Grimme group offers an internship programme and the opportunity to utilise company-related issues for thesis-research.
