GKN Walterscheid GmbH is a leading supplier of agritechnical driveline, attachment systems and agricultural engineering systems.
The name Walterscheid in inseparably linked to the development of agritechnical engineering. Technology has played an ever-increasing role in farming since the company was founded by Jean Walterscheid in 1919. Walterscheid has not simply accompanied this change, but made decisive contributions to it - in the form of revolutionary new developments with a worldwide impact.
The Walterscheid group belongs to the globally operating GNK Group. In Germany, there are production sites of Walterscheid KG in Lohmar, Löhr & Bromkamp in Offenbach, Gelenkwellenbau Essen (not anylonger part of the group), the Rheinmetall Schmiede- und Presswerk in Trier, the Opel driveshaft manufacturing in Kaiserslautern and in Kiel. For agricultural engineering, two companies in Sohland/ Spree and Mosel/Zwickau are part of the group.
GKN has around 8000 employees in Germany.
